Pony Engines on NCR Tracks

When the Northern Central Railroad sold its flood damaged railroad grade for inclusion in the hiking and biking trail that is now the NCR Trail, the Pennsylvania segment from New Freedon to York was abandoned but not dismantled. The tracks became part of the county parks system and are still servicable. A group of railroading enthusiasts have gained access to the track and have the ability to run these small engines along the 20 miles of remaining tracks. At 10 mph they can enjoy a 4 hour outing in addition to the time it takes to turn the engines around and head back.
